Learning Support

At NDPS, all students are intelligent. However, for those with a specific learning difficulty certain aspects of study can be considerably more challenging.

The school is committed to helping such pupils with a range of additional needs and we have a Special Education Need department to offer help and guidance to pupils. A Qualified Special Educator, with experience in India and abroad, manages the Special Education Needs Department. Whether a pupil struggles with an unseen disability or medical condition, a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or dyspraxia, or simply needs some help with time management and organizational skills, the special educator is more than happy to offer one-to-one support.

The Special Educator, with the assistance of teachers, identifies students with learning disabilities, and works out an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each student.

Any Learning Support sessions with the pupils are designed to be as encouraging and empowering as possible, allowing students to gain a clearer sense of their needs and help them to identify solutions to overcome future potential challenges.

In addition, the Special Educator also organizes withdrawal classes in the SEN classroom under her care for students with disabilities, if required.
